Helping anxious kids & families feel brave again

Evidence-based therapy and parent support for children, adults, and families navigating anxiety, OCD, panic, and related challenges.

WHEN ANXIETY STARTS RUNNING THE SHOW

You’ve tried reassuring them.
You’ve tried making things easier.
But somehow, the anxiety keeps getting bigger.

Maybe your child is avoiding school, activities, separation, bedtime, social situations, or anything that feels uncertain. You find yourself answering the same questions, changing plans, providing constant reassurance, or doing whatever you can to prevent the next meltdown.

You’re trying to help. But you may be wondering if some of the things that bring relief in the moment are actually keeping the anxiety going.

There is another way to help.

Anxiety treatment is about more than reducing anxiety in the moment. Together, we work to understand the patterns that keep anxiety going, build confidence through gradual practice, and help families respond in ways that support long-term growth.

Family-Focused Care

I’m Hara Howard, a Licensed Professional Counselor, school counselor, and children’s book author with over 15 years of experience supporting children, adults, and families through anxiety, worry, avoidance, and the challenges that show up in everyday life.

I believe meaningful change starts with connection. A strong therapeutic relationship creates the foundation for people to feel understood, supported, and safe enough to do hard things. My approach is practical and collaborative, but it’s also personal — I take time to understand the whole picture, including what’s happening at home, at school, in relationships, and in daily life.

Whether I’m working directly with an individual or partnering with a family, the goal is to build confidence and create tools that work beyond the therapy room.
